A customer called saying that the smarttask invoice run was producing a Sage invoice with the incorrect VAT. The difference was a couple of pence. After analysis, what was happening is Smarttask was providing the number of hours and the rate for the service which when imported into Sage, Sage was calculating on a per-line basis rather than taking the whole amount. because Sage was doing the round calculation per entry, the result ended up with a discrepancy if one calculated the net amount together and did a VAT calculation once. This is something that I suggested customer take up with Sage.
